• The Georges 2011 awarding ceremony will take place at April, 10th

    The Georges 2011 voting was closed in the ending of February — and you will find out results on the Awarding Ceremony, as usual. It will take place at April 10th in Moscow art-café “Durov”. Our guests will be traditionally distributors, famous Russian actors and actresses and, of course, our nominees. In this year we have a surprise — now we’ve got hosts of Ceremony: actor Aleksey Frandetti and actress Ekaterina Vilkova.

  • Final voting of Georges 2010 has started

    On February, 1, the second and final stage of Georges 2011 Awards has started, which will last till the end of the month. Choose the best and attract to voting your friends and pals: specially for this we have made buttons of social networks and banners, the codes of which you can place at your pages. Let the most worthy win!

    This year we have two special nominations, established by the media sponsors of the award. The first one is the Best Movie in Goblin’s Interpretation. Dmitry Puchkov known as Goblin held special runs in 2010, the aim of which is to bring to the audience the maximally precise analog of the original version of the movie. The people’s movie awards could not pass such an event by. Georges and Goblin offer viewers to choose what movie and what translation they liked most of all.

    The second special nomination of Georges 2011 Awards has been established by Kino-Govno.com site and has a proud name the Shit of Year. It was not the first time when viewers asked the organizers to create an “anti-nomination” for the worst movie on the analogy of the Golden Raspberry Award — and this year Georges has decided to meet the wants of people. Five movies in this nomination were defined by the editorial stuff of Kino-Govno.com — and you have the opportunity to choose the worst in your opinion.

  • First stage results declared in NovaRadio's air

    The first stage of Georges 2011 voting has finished, and we published the short-lists, which will be used for voting in the second stage. By established tradition the final fives of nominees we announced in the air of NovaRadio within the talk-show «NovaLIVE!». The awards organizers Olga Belik and Petr Zaytsev summed up the results of the first stage voting, shared their forecasts and revealed some secrets about new special nominations.   • Video: Johnny Depp gets Simply the Best prize

    In December the KinoPoisk portal’s chief-editor Mikhail Klochkov at our request gave to Johnny Depp the honourable prize Simply the Best — a wooden egg ornamented by hand. The egg is adorned with the inscription “Johnny Depp — Simply the Best”, the Georges’ logo and Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow’s portrait. Mikhail reminded to Johnny that the actor was the winner of three Georges matryoshkas, and it turned out Johnny remembered who had passed those prizes to him.     The selection of Georges 2011 Awards nominees has started! The first stage of voting will take place January 10 through January 28. As always you define the best movies and the best actors of last year yourselves — and during the first stage you should make fives of nominees in each nominations. This year to stop all disputes and discontents we have decided to pass everything to your hands — even division of the movies into genres. You decide yourselves what movies should be regarded as comedies, what is drama, and where the real action is. So choose the best and be sure: we will make every effort so that the prizes would find their heroes.

    Vote yourselves and tell your friends about the voting — push the buttons and share the link with your friends in social networks. The more people vote, the more objective people’s choice it will be!

  • Johnny Depp gets the honourable prize Simply the Best in person

    Georges Awards continues to find its heroes. We remind that Johnny Depp became the honourable laureate of the awards after three victories in a row and was marked with the special prize Simply the Best. On December, 3, at Paris press-junket on occasion of world premiere of Tourist the KinoPoisk portal’s chief-editor Mikhail Klochkov gave to Johnny this prize — a wooden egg ornamented by hand. The egg is adorned with the inscription “Johnny Depp — Simply the Best”, the Georges’ logo and Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow’s portrait.
